The Beauty Duo

The Beauty Duo

Beauty is all about balance. From fashion to makeup to jewelry and everything in between, if you find the balance, the beauty emerges. I’ve spent a whole host of time with this dynamic duo and what I’ve come to realize is that Annie and Sharleen balance each other out. The two of them are mom and daughter goals. Working together for years (and years), Annie Young Boutique Spa is a testament to their vision and well, secret to staying young and beautiful. We chatted lifestyle, fashion, and guilty pleasures, but what I wanted to know most about was what their jewelry says about them.
A style-forward woman, Annie is all about simplicity and quality. “That’s why I love Vince, such a simple yet well-crafted line.” When asked to describe her style, she said she loves to shop the trends and stay up to date on what’s what, but also stay classic. Pairing her jewelry to match her outfit, she always puts a look together and will weave in white whenever, however possible.
Yin to Annie’s Yang, Sharleen is all about that monochrome and functional look. “I love wearing black only,” she explains. “I need to be comfortable no matter where I’m going or what I’m doing.” Adding that she loves an array of colours that make her happy (think orange and purple), Sharleen is all about the smiles, and that includes accessories. “I love All Smiles, I could wear these anywhere! They match everything! How cute are they!?”
Whether your jewelry is that added piece that makes you smile or the dressy accessory that fancies up your look, it’s always about finding the perfect balance. “I love Who’s That Pearl because I can wear it both dressy and casual,” remarks Annie.
But balance is more than just that perfect outfit, balance is beauty and the beauty I felt from Annie and Sharleen was more than the eye can behold. “People always just assume that because we work together my mom taught me everything she knows about makeup,” Sharleen starts. “But she taught me more than how to apply makeup, she taught me to be kind, caring, and respectful She taught me to always give as much as a I can.” Just like the advice a mother passes on to her daughter, I hope my Mademoiselle Jules Jewelry pieces are passed down like heirlooms that are cherished and bring balance to your heart.
